The short scope

Everything this website publishes, and every message the group sends, exists to explain how investing works in plain language. It is group learning, not personal advice, and never an offer to buy or sell any security.

Who we are not

The Investment Charity Society LLC is not an investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or a manager of anyone’s money, and it does not present itself as any of those. It holds no registration with the SEC, FINRA, or any state regulator. Joining the group or reading these pages creates no client relationship of any kind.

What markets can do

Prices fall as well as rise, sometimes sharply and without warning, and money placed in markets can be lost entirely. Nothing in the group forecasts particular stocks or timeframes, and no sentence on this site should be heard as one. Every choice belongs to the member alone, made within their own means and, where it matters, alongside a licensed professional.

On the giving side

Charity activities run on volunteered time and money only. A member who gives nothing loses nothing, and records of the giving are published as far as practicable.
